The basic system consists of a hydraulic pump (3), cylinders (5) or Linear units (4) with an integrated cylinder and flexible pressure tubes (ø 4mm) linking the elements. The system is driven by a handcrank (1) or an electric drive unit (2).
By activating the handcrank (1), the fluid located in the pressure element of the pump (3) is pressed trough the tubes into the cylinders (4). Consequently, the piston rod of the cylinders raises the work surface. In order to lower the work surface, the fluid in the cylinders has to be pressed back to the pump, requiring an external force of approx. 60 N per cylinder (single acting system).
